It brings the question isn't there any compassion,kindness in this world? - NO.
The momentary deeds of compassion or kindness are only acts with minimum expectations, let's say - for a pinch of gratitude in the receiver's eyes.The people who come out to 'help' or 'offer help' are the ones who can still appreciate such subtle feelings.Rest, as they don't see anything benefiting for them,they merely react.Those momentary deeds can last long only if the receiver is able to meet the growing expectations of the giver.
Never I presume my deeds are unconditional favours to some one.All I do benefits me and may not be me alone.There is nothing like conflict of interest in the external world.Conflict of interest is within you.For example, You are traveling in some crowded bus or train.Some one requests for your seat.Ultimately you are going to do which rewards you to maximum - either physical comfort or psychological comfort.I may offer my seat because for me psychological benefits stand at higher position than material or physical benefits in my priorities.-
Being selfish is not at the root of crime.People's lack of ability to see the complete list of benefits in all dimensions is creating the actual crime.If you extensively use your left hand to do things, your ability to use right hand diminishes.Just like that as long as you use your naked eyes too much to see what's there out side,you lose your ability to 'see' the unseeable. -

I will start with a real life short story.
Far far away.....very far away from Hyderabad bus station(read it with 'long long ago' rhyming) there is a house.(ఆ ఇల్లు మాదే...మాదే అంటే మా ఓనరిది.)
In that house there are four rooms,each one occupied by an individual.Out of the four one is rajasthani,another bengalooruian,kadapian,
There is a maid for our home.She has two official holidays and two optional holidays in a week.ఆవిడ సరిగా పని చెయ్యదు...మచ్చుకు ఒకటి చెప్పాలంటే..."రేపొచ్చి బట్టలు ఉతుకుతాను bucket లో surf వేసి నానబెట్టండి" అని చెప్పి వెళ్తుంది...ఆమె వచ్చే లోపు అవి కుళ్ళి కంపు కొడతాయని భయపడి మనమే ఉతుక్కోవాలి...అదన్నమాట....ఈ ఇంట్లోకి కొత్తగా వచ్చిన కర్నూలోడికి కాలింది...వేరే పనిమనిషిని పెట్టుకుందాం అని ఒక వాదాన్ని లేవదీసాడు...చివరికి ఆ వాదమే వాదన గా మారింది....
కర్నూలోడు :అరె, ఈమెను భరించలేము రా...
కడపోడు : ఊం..ఊ...ఊం....
కర్ : అర్థం కాలా...నోట్లోది ఊసి మాట్లాడు....
కడ: (తుపుక్!!)...ఊరికే ఇక్కడ నసగడం బదులు బయట తిరిగి వెతకచ్చు కదా...కర్ : నేను వెతుకుతూనే వున్నా....కాని...ప్రాబ్లం నలుగురికి అయినప్పుడు నేను మాత్రమె వెతకాలా?...మీరు వెతకండి...
కడ : మాకు మరీ అంత ప్రాబ్లం లేదు...it is in our least priority list....
కర్ : ఈమెతో నాకెంత నష్టమో మీకు అంతే నష్టం...కాని నేను మాత్రమే కష్టపడాలా....
రూం లో ఉండేవాళ్ళ మధ్య గొడవలు మంచిది కాదని...
సరే...మొన్న ఎవరితోనో మాట్లాడావుగా...నేను ఇంకోసారి మాట్లాడి చూస్తాను లే...అని అక్కడితో ఆపేసా...
This incident once again consolidated my belief in my "theory of selfishness".
Theory of Selfishness : "All human beings primarily think,act with and only with expectations of psychological or physical or monetary or social benefits or a combination of them.Any act on void of expectations fail to sustain any longer."
